Sawara: A jaguar’s memoir

In the depths of the South American rainforest, where Jesuits and conquistadors have just arrived, a female jaguar is born. Like any other, she's raised to hunt and rule the jungle. However, in her dreams, she sees a city made of gold where men worship her like a goddess and call her Sawara. She grows up, learns to hunt and mate, visits a cave deep underground, befriends frogs and tamarins, and tries to be a good mother to her kittens. But Sawara soon finds out the world she loves so much is changing. Her only hope to save it is in those strange dreams, which take her on an epic journey to the City of Gold.
